Instructor: Randy Templeman

CE Credit Hours: 2.0

Real estate licensees are required to clearly and lawfully communicate their services, compensation, and representation to consumers. This course examines how consumers perceive “value” in real estate transactions and how licensees can communicate that value in a way that is accurate, ethical, and compliant with New York State license law.

Participants will explore how value-based messaging impacts consumer understanding, trust, and informed decision-making, while avoiding misleading statements, improper guarantees, or Fair Housing violations. The course distinguishes between personal values, professional ethics, and value statements, and explains how each applies to licensed real estate activities.

Emphasis is placed on:

Ethical and compliant communication of services and compensation

Required disclosures and advertising regulations

Fair Housing considerations in language and messaging

Risk management and documentation practices that protect both consumers and licensees

This course is designed to help licensees reduce confusion, manage consumer expectations, and communicate their services responsibly while meeting legal and ethical obligations.
