Financing affects every stage of a home purchase, from setting a realistic budget to reaching the closing table. This course helps real estate professionals guide buyers through common mortgage options, understand the full cost of homeownership, and recognize financing concerns before they disrupt a transaction.
Participants will explore conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, SONYMA, and renovation financing, along with down-payment and closing-cost assistance. The class covers prequalification versus preapproval, questions buyers should ask lenders, and how financing can influence property selection, offer terms, appraisals, and repair requirements.
Through practical buyer scenarios, agents will learn to identify issues that can delay or prevent closing, including changes in credit or employment, missing documents, insufficient funds, and expired rate locks.
