Housing is a basic human need, and real estate professionals play an important role in helping consumers access it fairly. This course examines overt and subtle forms of housing discrimination, along with agents’ responsibilities under federal, state, and local fair housing laws and Article 10 of the REALTOR® Code of Ethics.

Through real-life situations, participants will explore how to respond when consumers ask questions such as “Would you buy in this neighborhood if you were me?” or “What kind of people live here?” The class focuses on handling these conversations thoughtfully, providing useful information, and avoiding discriminatory guidance.

Agents will leave with practical tools to better serve buyers and sellers, recognize fair housing concerns, and support equal access to housing in their everyday work.
