Cultural competency—also known as intercultural competence—is a crucial skill in today’s diverse real estate landscape. This engaging 2-hour CE course is designed to help licensees understand how cultural awareness, legal context, communication styles, and bias impact the way we serve clients and interact with communities.

Through a blend of discussion, case examples, and breakout exercises, students will explore the foundational elements of cultural competence, examine its role in fair housing compliance, and learn practical strategies to better connect with clients from all backgrounds.

Whether you’re working in a high-context or low-context cultural environment, this course will help sharpen your skills and enhance your effectiveness as a real estate professional.

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Define cultural competency and explain why it matters in real estate
  • Identify the four key components of cultural competence: awareness, attitude, knowledge, and skills
  • Recognize historical context and legal milestones that combat housing discrimination
