The amalgam of a storm … a Pandemic combined with a low supply of housing inventory and an NAR Pending Legal Settlement resulting in business practice changes. And now, even after the storm, turbulent clouds continue to loom over the real estate industry. Buyers, sellers and agents are uneasy and confused.  So, take the lead. NOW is the time to stop being “tour guides” and “order takers.” It’s time to eliminate shortcuts and focus on professional, consultative practices. Become a true consultant. Understand and effectively describe the nuances of a real estate transaction to buyer and seller clients. Become more confident in explaining written agreements and fee structures. Learn your stuff and how to present with poise and empowerment. As Einstein said, “If you can’t explain it simply, you don’t understand it well enough.” This course is a guide to tips, scripts and best practices.

Learning Outcomes:

Upon completion, participants will be able to:

  • Explain why the first step toward accepting change is awareness.
  • Recognize the pitfalls of cutting corners and breaching fiduciary duties.
  • Analyze how a Sellers’ Market impacts consumer and agent behavior.
  • Point out the 2024 practice changes that apply to the listing and selling side. 
  • Capitalize on the real estate opportunities that are being created by the 2024 practice changes.
  • Summarize practice changes related to your local BOR/AOR and local MLS.
  • Hypothesize/consider new and evolving business practices and models.
