CE Credit Hours: 2.0
Real estate licensees are required to clearly, accurately, and lawfully communicate their services, compensation, and representation to consumers. This course examines how consumers perceive “value” in real estate transactions and how licensees can communicate that value in a compliant, ethical, and professional manner.
Participants will explore the distinction between personal values, professional ethics, and value statements, and how each impacts consumer understanding, trust, and informed decision-making. The course emphasizes compliance with New York license law, advertising regulations, ethical obligations, and Fair Housing requirements when discussing services, compensation, and professional roles.
Through guided instruction and discussion, licensees will learn how to communicate services without exaggeration or guarantees, manage consumer expectations, avoid misleading representations, and reduce legal and ethical risk. Best practices for transparency, documentation, and risk management are highlighted to support consumer protection and professional accountability.
